Support to conflict affected girls in Northern Uganda

Support to Conflict Affected Girls in & out of Secondary Schools is one of FICH’s Educational initiatives being supported by Global Fund for Children. Under this project, FICH is supporting over 200 girls in the community andfour secondary schools in Oyam districtto ensure they are empowered for economic, political and social development. This support provides second chance education to girls in secondary schools and it is designed in a sustainable approach where the parents/guidance, schools, district, communities and other key actors are linked directly to the project to ensure success of the initiative. The program also provides livelihood, technical skills, access to finance through savings and credit activities, and entrepreneurship mind-set development to school dropped out girls in the community.
