LEAD Program (Leadership,
Education, Access and Discovery)
. The education program rests on the belief that
through regular, positive interaction we can help children to become leaders,
be excellent students, gain access to knowledge and resources, and discover
more about themselves and the world.
FICH education program (LEAD) supports school based & clubs mentoring
initiative with tailored curriculum, alumni network, parental engagement,
teacher support, and community sensitization. The curriculum is tailored for
secondary school learners with more focus on girls to develop Social and Emotional
Leaning (SEL) skills to improve academic outcomes and employability. The alumni
network supports learners once they have completed the program as they move on
to university or professional careers.
And LEAD engages parents and teachers to strengthen the SEL support
system of program participants both at school and at home. Learning from the
implementation of the LEAD program has directly informed and contributed to the
Assessment of Life Skills and Values (ALiVE) project of RELI and likewise for the
LEAD program improvement
