"karacel" - togetherness!

FICH works in schools and remote communities with poor infrastructure like roads which limit access to most social services such as health care, and schools for children. With low or no technology in these remote communities, it is always harder for children to be reached with different programs especially school learners in nearby communities where Karacel is being established. 

“Karacel” multi-purpose development Centre will serve the community of Oyam and Northern Uganda as a whole. It aspires to carry community-centred programming and will have the following facilities; Administrative offices that will also host FICH, socially inclusive programs such as community sports activities, a Library to promote a reading culture and information access, a Computer Laboratory for training/software development/incubation of learning products e.g. animations and internet access, Accommodation/guest house for visitors to the Centre, conference hall for conducting meetings and training.
