DEPCOT, a FICH and GRiC partner, recently conducted a refresher training session for volunteer teachers in Kole District, Northern Uganda. The training, focused on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), took place at the Paragon Villa Hotel and aimed to equip teachers with the skills and confidence needed to deliver effective learning experiences.
Daniel Okullu, the Executive Director at DEPCOT, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the refresher training, noting that it provided teachers with renewed inspiration, enhanced skills, and deeper knowledge in FLN methodologies. The training covered various aspects of best learning facilitation practices, with a particular emphasis on strategies relevant for the 21st century, including the integration of digital tools and resources.
